The INCISE website and accompanying app are a specifically designed audit tool that has been developed by the University of Liverpool to measure key colic outcome data.
This is a unique audit tool that allows data to be entered either via the website or the mobile app, allowing clinics to have a flexibility in entering data, depending on what works best for their clinic. Unlike apps that only record data, the website enables specific users within the clinic to edit data (e.g missing data or where errors in data entry have occurred) and to quickly generate key outcome summaries.
The audit tool enables participating clinics to enter their data and to monitor colic outcomes in a simple and confidential way. Once clinics have been registered, data can be entered quickly and easily and key outcome measures can be easily generated for specific time periods (e.g. monthly, quarterly or annually).
In addition, the data that has been recorded for your clinic can be downloaded and used for your own monitoring purposes. The INCISE team will generate summaries of the key outcome measures by country and across countries as key benchmarks that clinics can compare themselves to. Confidentiality is a key aspect of this study and individual clinics will not be identified.
INCISE will establish national and international benchmarks and will enable clinics to identify areas of good practice that can be shared with the international equine colic surgery community. It will also allow participating clinics to see areas where improvements could be made from their own data (which is confidential to your clinic) and will enable individual clinics to measure outcomes and monitor changes to interventions quickly and easily.
